A father appealing to his missing daughter to return home, explained his worry about her disappearance in the Observer newspaper:

'she left behind absolutely everything-money, mobile phone, MP3 player, clothes- all the things she needs to live. That's why we're so worried'

so that would make the list of things essential to existence in 2007 run in this order:
1. money
2. mobile phone
3. MP3 player
4. clothes
